She could use a bath every 2-3 weeks, and she gets one more like every 3-4 months. I loved reading about Dorothy's "protest". Roxy is also usually pretty happy to go over to the vet. There are treats and ladies cooing over her in very high-pitched baby talk voices and sometimes there's a box with a kitten or rabbit in it. She has a reputation for being a huge baby and crying more than any little dog over getting blood drawn or a shot, so she gets piles of sympathy from everyone there. If I am there too, she tries to maintain some semblance of dignity, but if she's left for some sort of treatment, she loses all self-control and carries on as if she's dying.
